Significant Coastal Storm Coming To NH; 6+ Inches Of Heavy, Wet Snow, Outages, Slick Roads

CONCORD, NH — The National Weather Service issued a “hazardous weather outlook” on Sunday afternoon, warning of stormy weather from Tuesday to Thursday.

On Monday, there will be partly sunny skies with a high in the lower 50s. Overnight lows will be in the mid-30s.

Rain is expected on Tuesday.

“A significant coastal storm is likely to impact New England during the Tuesday night through Thursday timeframe,” the alert stated. “Heavy wet snow, rain, and gusty winds are all likely from this system, but where the greatest amounts of each occur remains uncertain at this time.”

In the areas where heavy wet snow does fall, forecasters say power outages and slick travel roads are expected.

The alert covers Merrimack, Hillsborough, and Rockingham counties.

Rain and snow will continue through the rest of the week through Thursday.

There’s a slight chance of showers on Friday but the weekend looks clear.
