Snow and Rain, Art, and Hot Music for a Friday
5 Things you need to know about Concord, April 12, 2013.

- Freaky Friday? Snow? Rain? What else? Weather forecasters are calling for some strange weather with snow in the morning, then rain and wind, and snow and rain again. Temperatures will run between 29 and 27 degrees. Overnight lows stay into the 30s.
- Youth art. The Kimball Jenkins Art School has ongoing classes for kids, teens, and adults, including art classes, woodworking, Tai Chi, and more. Plus, don’t forget to check out the Youth Art Exhibit at the Steeplegate Mall which ends next week.
- Healthy Kids Day. The Concord Family YMCA holds a healthy kids event at 5:15 p.m. The event is free.
- Music tonight. The Raven Consort plays at St. Paul’s School at 7:30 p.m. The Musicians of Wall Street perform at the Concord Community Music School at 7:30 p.m., with Andrea Veal, David Ross, and Kathryn Southworth. The Alen Rowe Trio perform at The Purple Pit. Expect a jump good funk and soul time as Holmes plays the True Brew Barista at 9:30 p.m. in a free concert.
- Other stuff. NHTI holds its annual multicultural day from noon to 2 p.m. Jen has a Zumba class at Concord Dance Academy at 5:30 p.m. The Capitol Center for the Arts feature Late Nite Catechism Las Vegas: Sister Rolls the Dice at 8 p.m.
