Snow, Heavy Rain Mix Coming To New Hampshire: Weather Alert

Forecasters warn of wind gusts up to 40 mph on Thursday, slippery roads, and possibly minor flooding; snow showers are expected on Saturday.

GRAY, ME — Forecasters are warning of hazardous winter weather in New Hampshire to prepare for later this week.

According to the National Weather Service, a low-pressure system moves into the state on Thursday and will bring snow “and mixed precipitation,” changing to rain during the evening.

“A period of heavy rain is possible overnight which some localized minor flooding possible,” an alert stated. “Winds on the immediate coast may gust up to 40 mph Thursday night.”

Rain is expected to continue into Friday and then change to snow on Saturday morning.

AccuWeather.com warned of ice and rain, which could create “travel headaches” across the Northeast. Slippery roads are to be expected between Thursday and Saturday.

The weather alert covers the entire state of New Hampshire.

Areas of the North Country should expect between 4 and 6 inches of snow.
