Snow to Hit New Hampshire on Tuesday
The National Weather Service issues "hazardous weather outlook" predicting as much as nine inches of snow in parts of the state on Jan. 17.

GRAY, ME — Forecasters are warning that a potentially disruptive storm is making its way across the United States and will hit New England and New Hampshire on Tuesday night, according to weather alerts. The National Weather Service has issued two “hazardous weather outlook” alerts – one last night and another at 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 16, 2017, predicting that snow would move into the region during the evening on Tuesday and Wednesday morning, with “low confidence of moderate accumulations,” according to the alert.
Early this morning, the NWS posted storm charts with both probable storm accumulations and potential storm accumulations. As much as 3 to 6 inches of snow is expected around the southern part of the Granite State with potential accumulations coming in at between 5 to 9 inches.

AccuWeather.com is being slightly more specific, calling the storm “disruptive,” due to the potential of bringing a mix of both ice and snow into the region.
"While Boston is likely to receive little or no snow and ice from the storm, areas a few dozen miles to the northwest, such as around Concord, New Hampshire, may receive a heavy snowfall, making travel difficult," according to AccuWeather Chief Meteorologist Elliot Abrams.
