Snowy Start To Spring From Concord Points North In NH
The first weekend of spring is off to a slick start on highways in central, northern New Hampshire
CONCORD, NH —Snow-covered highways greeted drivers hitting the road early for the weekend on Friday as an early spring storm made travel difficult in parts of the state. The New Hampshire Department of Safety, Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Management urged caution as driving conditions quickly became slick late in the morning.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for parts of the state with rain in the southern and coastal parts of the state near Nashua and Portsmouth, and the possibility for bouts of heavy snow through the afternoon in Concord and points north - especially at higher elevations.
From @NewHampshireDOT & @NH_StatePolice: roads throughout northern NH, from Concord north are snow covered and slippery, motorists should reduce speeds and increase following distances. #SlowDownMoveOver #NHwx #ReadyNH

We've updated the forecast, with more snow, especially in areas just inland from the coast. We could see several inches in these areas, especially this morning into early afternoon. This graphic just shows snowfall through today. pic.twitter.com/PYnSkaKKWp
