Some Concord Pools Will Stay Open Through Aug. 16

If you haven't taken a dip in the White, Merrill, Kimball, or Garrison pools yet, you have another week. After that, only 3 will be open.

CONCORD, NH — A few city pools in Concord will stay open for an extra week beyond the normal closing time of early August. The Concord Parks and Recreation Department is keeping pools at Rollins and Rolfe parks as well as the Heights open through Friday, Aug. 16. Pool hours during the extra week will be 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday; 12:30 to 4:30 and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday through Thursday; and 12:30 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16.

The pools at White, Merrill, Kimball, and Garrison Parks will close at 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9.

City pools close early in the summer due to lifeguards being college students nearly every year that need to head back to school, according to officials.
