Somersworth Woman Accused Of Murdering Rochester Domestic Partner

CONCORD, NH — A woman from Somersworth has been charged with second-degree murder, accused of killing her domestic partner earlier this month.
Haydee Rivera-Nadeau, 65, was arrested on May 3 in Charlotte Mecklenburg, North Carolina, on a fugitive from justice warrant issued by Rochester police on May 1.
According to police, around 11:45 a.m., Rochester fire and rescue teams were sent to the Professional Arts Building on Winter Street for a report of a woman with a traumatic head injury she received earlier that morning. When EMTs and police arrived, they realized the woman, Lisa Rocheleau, 50, had been shot. She was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital and, later, Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Rocheleau died on May 11.
Police developed Rivera-Nadeau as a suspect and issued warrants against her for first-degree and second-degree assault and attempted second-degree murder. She was tracked down in North Carolina days later.

On Tuesday, the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office formally charged Rivera-Nadeau with second-degree murder after an autopsy revealed Rocheleau died due to a gunshot wound and the manner of death was a homicide.
Rochester police thanked “multiple agencies that were involved and assisted in this investigation,” including police from Barrington, Concord, Lee, Manchester, Nashua, Nottingham, and Somersworth, as well as, the New Hampshire State Police, Strafford County Sheriff’s Office, Strafford County Attorney Office, New Hampshire Attorney General Office, and Charlotte Mecklenburg NC Police Department.
