Speeding Biker Eluding Police Picked Up After Tips Reported: Cops

Jacob Doyle of Manchester was tracked down by Hooksett Police at home after tipsters called in his motorcycle plate.

HOOKSETT, NH — A Queen City man is due in court in August after allegedly speeding and then fleeing from police, according to a report. Jacob Doyle, 20, of Manchester, was arrested on June 21, 2017, for speed, disobeying an officer, unlawful passing, and line violation. At just before 7 p.m. last night, an officer speaking with a resident of Hackett Hill Road who was complaining about motorcycles reportedly speeding on the road when a motorcyclist allegedly sped past them at 60 mph, according to Sgt. Mathew Burke of the Hooksett Police Department.

The posted speed on the road in 30 mph. The officer attempted to stop the motorcyclist when he allegedly “accelerated (and) passed another vehicle on a double yellow and attempted to elude the officer,” according to a report.

“With the assistance of the general public, calls immediately came into the Hooksett Police Department and the license plate of the motorcycle was given to our dispatch center,” Burke stated. “Officers responded immediately to the suspect’s residence in Manchester and the operator of the motorcycle was taken into custody and charged.”

Doyle was processed and released on personal recognizance bail and is due in Hooksett District Court on Aug. 2.
