Speeding to Stereo Installation Appointment During Snowstorm Leads to Arrest: NHSP
Anastacia Hocking of Laconia was arrested this morning for reckless driving after allegedly traveling on I-93 at 91 mph in her Saturn Astra.

CONCORD, NH — A New Hampshire woman has a date in court in March after allegedly reckless driving on I-93 in Concord this morning. Anastacia E. Hocking, 21, of Laconia, was arrested on Jan. 18, 2017, for reckless driving.

According to New Hampshire State Police, a trooper tracked a vehicle on radar on I-93 traveling at 91 mph this morning. The driver – Hocking – was pulled over in a 2008 Saturn Astra in Concord, due to the level of speed during a winter storm event with posted travel speeds of 45 mph and where there was snow and slush on the roads.

After the stop, Hocking allegedly told the trooper that she was “speeding because she was late for an appointment to have a new car stereo installed,” according to Staff Sgt. Charles W. Johnston of Troop D.
Hocking is due in court on March 3. If convicted, she faces a $1,000 fine and a minimum of a 60-day loss of license, according to state police.
