Paul, according to state police, was caught around 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of Albany Street in Melnea Case Boulevard in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood.

“The arrest was the culmination of a continued search of the Boston area for the suspect,” according to a press statement. “MSP’s fugitive unit developed intelligence that Paul and a woman he was with were staying at a Boston hotel. Massachusetts Troopers set up surveillance on the hotel and watched as Paul left on foot to run an errand. Troopers converged on him and took him into custody.”

Paul was released on conditional parole earlier this year after serving time for his role as an accomplice in the August 1997 murder of Epsom Police Officer Jeremy Charron.

Paul is allegedly involved in a burglary ring in the Granite State that has stolen and traded in firearms, according to the charges against him. He will be arraigned later today on the fugitive charges in the Roxbury Division of the Boston Municipal Court.
