State Senate Approves Redistricting

New plan adds Henniker, Warner to Concord district seat.

The New Hampshire State Senate on Feb. 1, approved a that changes 18 of the state’s 24 districts, according to a press release. The vote, according to boston.com, was along party lines, 19-4, with Republicans prevailing.

In the plan, District 15, the Concord state Senate district seat, currently held by state Sen. , D-Concord, will have Henniker and Warner added to the district and Pembroke was taken out of the district.

When the plan was first released, were upset that they found out about the new districts at the same time a press release was sent out to the media.

Larsen did not return a request for comment.

The plan redistricts current state Sen. , R-Henniker, into the Concord district. Sanborn, who co-owns sports bar and restaurant on South Main Street, also did not comment on the vote but said he would be making his future political plans known soon.

Carole Alfano, the press liaison for the state Senate, said senators had not received the House version of its yet.
