According to a court affidavit, at just before 4 a.m., the Pittsfield Police Department received a call from a frantic woman who was upset and crying requesting that they assist her in removing a man – later identified as Drew – from a manufactured home on Ingalls Road. The reporting officer noted that he was familiar with the couple and that the victim had come to speak with police two days before inquiring about getting a restraining order against Drew, the affidavit alleged.

The officer, as well as Epsom and Loudon officers, headed to the home and while en route, were told by another man at a nearby home that Drew was allegedly “screaming and flipping out.” The caller told the officer that the victim came to his home and Drew allegedly followed, yelling and screaming, and wouldn’t leave his trailer. Drew allegedly grabbed the woman by the arm, “forcefully pulled her out of (the) residence,” and took off running. The man hid in a room in his home until Drew left because he was acting “so crazy,” he alleged.

The officer spoke to other witnesses who alleged that Drew was yelling and dragging her into the woods. The witness alleged that the couple yelled at each other “every night.”

The officers split up and began looking for the couple while New Hampshire State Police Troop D units were also called to the scene to assist. In order to not completely contaminate a track for the K-9 unit, the reporting officer stayed behind while dispatch began pinging the victim’s cellphone in order to get a location of where she might be. A ping was found in Chichester but troopers were unable to find the couple.

Other troopers arrived, including the K-9 unit, “Casper,” and they began tracking the couple while the reporting officer gathered statements from witnesses.

Another cellphone ping was found and all involved went to that area where they reportedly found Drew and the victim in about six inches of snow.

EMTs were called to the scene to check the pair for hypothermia, since temperatures were in the single digits, the victim stated that she couldn’t feel her feet and was freezing, and she was not wearing proper shoes or attire for being out in the snow, according to the affidavit. Drew also reportedly complained that he was cold and the officer noted that he had mucus that appeared to be frozen from his nose to his mouth.

The officer questioned the victim who reportedly stated that she was going to get a restraining order on Dec. 27, that she was afraid of him, and after an argument earlier, he allegedly threatened to hit her if she didn’t come with him and then dragged her in to the woods. The victim also complained later that her feet and hands were swollen and the officer noted that it looked as if she might have had frostbite.

The officer informed Drew that he was being arrested and charged with kidnapping and he allegedly became upset and claimed he couldn’t be charged with kidnapping since the victim was his girlfriend, according to the affidavit.

During an inventory search of his book bag, the officer allegedly found two hypodermic needles with residue, two bent spoons, eight knives, fighting gloves, and a glass pipe with marijuana residue, according to the report. A field test of the syringes allegedly tested positive for fentanyl/Oxycodone.

When asked about the drugs, Drew allegedly became upset.

“(He) stated that with the white powder that he was shooting up didn’t seem like the correct high that he should have been getting if he was only shooting up Subutex,” the officer alleged.

Drew was held on $2,500 cash bail.

The victim, according to a comment on Facebook, noted that she was OK.

According to reports online, Drew was arrested in November 2011 in a purse snatching case in Manchester where he also allegedly struck a mall security guard with a wooden stake while trying to escape. In 2014, he was arrested in Raymond on warrants.
