Storyteller Valerie Tutson to Perform in Dunbarton Sept. 14

A RI resident, Tutson has been sharing her stories in schools, churches, libraries, festivals and conferences since 1991. In addition to her focus on stories from African traditions and Black history, Valerie has developed an enthralling style of retelling the old Bible stories in a fresh new way. Her energy and her ability to connect with her audience captivate listeners of all ages. She has performed at the National UCC Women’s Conference in Boston, MA and the New England Women’s Conferences in Portland, ME and the UCC SYNOD in Providence, RI.

The public is invited to join in this unique opportunity to hear a master storyteller. Come to enjoy. Come to learn new storytelling techniques. There is no charge for this afternoon of storytelling and interactive activities, available through a Lilly Endowment Clergy Renewal Grant.
