CONCORD, NH — Police in Concord, as well as SAU 8 Concord School District officials, are investigating a threat against the high school on Sunday.

After learning about it Sunday evening, Principal Michael Reardon informed parents about the incident. The threat was made on social media against the school, not a specific student. The nature of the threat though was not mentioned.

“Concord police were alerted and conducted a wellness check at the student's residence,” he said. “The student's parent was present as well. Based on the information the police shared following their interaction with the student, we do not feel there is any danger.”

Reardon said school officials would be meeting with the student and the student's parent before they return to school.

This threat is one of several recent incidents at the high school.

On March 22, custodians at the school discovered graffiti which was determined to be a “low-level threat” by police. The building was swept and the grounds checked, but nothing was found.

A few weeks before that, a swatter called Concord police and claimed a gunman was at the school. The incident was quickly determined to be a hoax.
