Student Taken Into Custody After Fight At Concord High School
The SRO chased the suspect around the neighborhood while a nurse treated a victim. Police took the suspect into custody near Holt Street.

CONCORD, NH — A student from Concord High School has been taken into custody after a fight at the school and a chase around the West End on Monday afternoon.
Limited information is available at the time of publication, but according to scanner chatter, the school resource officer at Concord High School radioed for backup just before 3 p.m. after a student involved in a fight fled from her. Other officers were sent to the area as the SRO chased the suspect on foot up Westbourne Street to School Street.
The suspect was described as a boy, wearing all black, and carrying a black leather backpack. The SRO had the suspect’s first name but not the last name. The suspect continued running onto School Street and then onto Liberty Street.

A few minutes later, a watch commander asked what was going on, and the SRO said there was a fight in the school parking lot near the buses, and the student they were chasing was involved, according to scanner chatter.
“The victim is in the school, being seen by a nurse,” the officer said.

Another officer in the area reported that the suspect appeared to enter a car on School Street, and the car was still there.
Officers checked the person in the vehicle, a man in his mid-40s, and later determined the student with him was not involved in the incident.
The SRO returned to the school to check on the victim while other officers continued to search for the suspect and widened the area they were checking.
At around 3:15 p.m., another officer at the intersection of School and Holt streets requested radio silence and, a few minutes later, announced they had detained the suspect.
