CONCORD, NH — Newspapers around the country are encouraging readers to take advantage of the holiday spirit and signup for subscriptions to support their journalism. The effort was created by The Boston Globe as a way of boosting paid online or print subscriptions while consumers are considering all of the other purchases they are making like Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday, and Giving Tuesday.
