Sunshine, Yoga, Books, and Jazz, all in Concord
Here's what's going on in the city today.

- Another day of sunshine. If weather forecasters’ predictions are correct, you can expect another great day today, with plenty of sunshine and highs in the mid-70s. Overnight lows will drop down into the low 40s.
- No burning outdoors. The Concord and Merrimack County fire safety level is “very high,” according to the Concord Fire Department, meaning that areas of the state are susceptible to wildfires. There is no burning outdoors and people should properly extinguish their cigarettes. There’s more information here on this link to an interview with Chief Dan Andrus.
- Yoga 101. Are you new to yoga or trying to get back into it? Sharing Yoga on Pleasant Street has a series of weekly one-hour classes starting at 5:30 p.m. for $69.
- Book club meets. The Gibson’s Bookstore book club meets at 7 p.m. to discuss by Chad Harbach. The event is free.
- Other stuff. There will be a toddler play group at The Children’s Place and Parents’ Education Center at 10 a.m. The Suite Success in Networking Group meets at The Office Suite at 11:30 a.m. Dustin’s Fitness Solutions hosts a complimentary circuit training class at noon. St. Paul’s Church hosts a walk-in immunization sponsored by the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association at 1 p.m. It’s also the first Monday of the month meaning David Tonkin will be playing jazz at The Barley House at 6 p.m. Paul Bourgelais plays Hermanos at 6:30 p.m.
