Suspicious Death Investigation After Concord Hotel Incident

Police were at the Best Western on Hall Street Thursday to search a room after a death; an OD was reported at a homeless camp on Friday.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police confirmed on Friday they are investigating a suspicious death after an incident at a hotel on Hall Street.

Around 8 a.m. on Thursday, police and fire and rescue teams were sent to the Best Western on Hall Street for a report of a man acting suspiciously. According to John Thomas, deputy chief of the Concord Police Department, EMTs were requested and took the man to Concord Hospital where he later died.

During an investigation, police discovered the man was not a guest at the hotel but was staying with a registered guest. Thomas said, when officers went to the room, they saw items "in plain sight" and requested a search warrant for the room. Police locked down the floor after that.
