SUV Clips Utility Pole During Route 106 Rollover In Canterbury: Watch

Canterbury, Loudon fire and rescue teams, and police were sent to a crash near the Gil Rodgers Highway Wednesday; one taken to the hospital.

CANTERBURY, NH — Canterbury and Loudon fire and rescue teams, as well as police, were sent to Route 106 for a crash Wednesday.

Around 9:30 a.m., Capital Area Mutual Aid Fire Compact began receiving reports of a rollover crash involving an SUV on the northbound side of the highway, just north of the motor speedway, near Gil Rodgers Highway. Dispatchers said the SUV crashed into a utility pole that snapped. They said trees were catching fire due to the snapped pole and wires.

Eversource was requested to the scene while the driver, a woman, was evaluated. The fire commander said she and others were away from the burning trees and were safe. They requested all the other fire teams to assist with the fire.
