SUV Crashes Into Downtown Concord Building: Watch

A Honda CR-V crashed into a building at the corner of Pleasant and North State streets on Friday, causing minor damage.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating why an SUV crashed into a building downtown on Friday.

Around 6:30 p.m., police were sent to the intersection of North State and Pleasant streets for an accident report. The vehicle, a Honda CR-V, drove off the street, onto the sidewalk, into a light post, and then into the building.

The first arriving officer said there was airbag deployment in the vehicle and called for backup to assist with traffic and fire and rescue teams, too, to check out the driver.

The officer also requested more back up to assist with traffic while firefighters and EMTs dealt with the driver.

At just before 7 p.m., the driver refused treatment and fire and rescue teams cleared. According to scanner chatter, the fire commander said there was minor damage to the building.
