SUV, Crossover Crash Under I-93 In Concord Sends 1 To The Hospital: Watch

A crash between two Hondas at Water and Manchester streets slowed traffic on Friday.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police and fire and rescue teams were sent to the intersection of Water and Manchester streets, underneath Interstate 93, for a two-vehicle crash on Friday.

Just before 8:30 p.m., dispatch received reports about a crash, possibly with injuries. Police dispatch also requested EMTs.

When police arrived, they found a Honda CR-V had collided with a Honda HR-V in the middle of the intersection. One of the vehicles had airbag deployment, and the driver was complaining of chest pains and having difficulty getting out of the vehicle. Another driver also complained of knee pain, the police officer said.

Officers spoke to witnesses as the drivers were cared for by firefighters. One driver was taken to Concord Hospital and a second ambulance was requested by firefighters at the scene a few minutes later.

Tow trucks were called to remove the vehicles and the accident was cleared around 9:15 p.m.
