Why are you seeking elective office?

My primary goal in running for City Council At Large is to be a strong advocate for the residents of Concord.

Concord is at a critical juncture with numerous changes that will shape our city's future and influence our quality of life. With so many open seats available in this election cycle, it is important to select candidates who not only understand the inner workings of our government but also prioritize its smooth operation.

It is equally important to elect individuals who remain committed to transparency and accountability. Elected officials should never forget that they are accountable to the residents of Concord, and they must consistently demonstrate this accountability by openly communicating their decisions and being responsive to the concerns and needs of their constituents.

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

The single most pressing issue facing the City Council is improving the overall quality of life for the residents of Concord.

Our community is grappling with a range of interconnected challenges, including the rising cost and limited availability of housing, the need to attract and retain the next generation of residents, concerns about public safety, and maintaining a competitive business climate, all while minimizing the burden on taxpayers.

I firmly believe that quality of life in our city directly impacts every single resident of Concord. While there may not be a one-size-fits-all solution to address all these issues, I am fully committed to making the improvements to our quality of life the central focus of my service if elected.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

All five of us running for these two At Large seats share a commitment to our community, evident in the time and energy we've dedicated to this campaign. There is one crucial distinction that sets me apart from the other candidates and is worth emphasizing.

While my fellow candidates have highlighted their commitment to specific issues or cited their personal accomplishments, my primary focus has been centered on the residents of Concord. Throughout this campaign, I have consistently emphasized my dedication to listening to the needs of Concord's residents and prioritizing the efficient operation of our government to better serve them.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.

Aside from my focus on improving quality of life in Concord, one of the things I want to work on is transparency. I am committed to promoting open and honest communication between our government and its constituents. I am committed to ensuring that every decision made by the City Council is open, accessible, and accountable to our community. Residents have the right to know when, how, and why decisions are made, and I will actively work to foster an environment of openness in city government.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have been active in the political process throughout my life and have seen firsthand how local communities have the potential to bring about significant positive change.

One of my key strengths is my strong work ethic. I am committed to putting in the effort and dedication required to tackle complex issues and find solutions. Additionally, I have proven my ability to remain composed in high-stress situations.

The best advice ever shared with me was:

"A rising tide lifts all boats"

This saying was repeated over and over by one of my favorite professors in college. He was the quintessential optimist and dedicated to helping anyone who was in need. He instilled the importance of grassroots organizing and taught that one should use their successes and talents to lift up those around them.

This saying, and his reason for saying it so frequently have remained in my life and inspiring me to be actively engaged in my community and share my gifts with those around me.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I want voters to know that while I may be the youngest candidate for this position, I am dedicated to bettering my community and ensuring that the next generation has a better quality of life then the one we have.
Throughout my campaign, I've tried to emphasizes my commitment to the residents of Concord. My positions and priorities are rooted in ensuring that their voices are heard, and I am ready to work to improve all of our lives
