Team Kia Moves Down the Street

Dealership takes over former Lincoln of Concord location on Manchester Street.

Out of the ashes, a phoenix rises, as the saying goes.

In the case of car dealerships in Concord, specifically, the closing of Lincoln of Concord recently, the same could be said. A few days after the Lincoln dealership closed, Team Kia moved into its place, offering both a better service and sales experience to its customers, according to Mike Riley, the general manager of Team Kia.

Riley said the new building is so much bigger and better than the previous space, featuring two and half times more bays that the former location for service and repairs, as well as a larger waiting room for those who are getting their cars repaired.

“We just very quickly grew out of the old space,” he said, “not the space to park cars, but the space to service cars and have customers be comfortable … it was just lacking … it was awful. This is much better.”

The larger capacity for the service department, Riley said, would translate into shorter wait times for customers.

Jonathan Bibaud of the service department at the dealership said a number of former Lincoln of Concord employees, including Greg and Justin, workers known to the other company’s customers, decided to stay on with Team Kia. The new waiting room in the service department will also feature some new workstations for customers to use, he said. Next spring, the area will be completely updated Bibaud said.

Riley said it was great that the three other employees decided to stay on, calling their decisions a benefit to the dealership.

Currently, the parent company of Team Kia has three dealerships in New Hampshire – two Nissan dealerships, in Manchester and Lebanon, and the Concord location.
