Teams Face Off Against 45,000-Pound Fire Truck on Sat. 6/25
Annual Fire Truck Pull rolls back into Concord - team registration now open!
Registration is now open at www.ConcordPublicSafety.org for the Concord Public Safety Foundation’s (CPSF) 4th Fire Truck Pull fundraiser. Teams of (10) individuals will once again face off against a 45,000-pound City of Concord reserve fire truck. Registration is limited to (20) teams, who compete for the fastest time. The starting horn sounds on Saturday, June 25th at 10:00 am as teams show their strength by pulling the truck along a section of Main Street during the Market Days Festival, crossing the finish line to a cheering crowd.
Competition is fierce, but all teams are ultimately pulling together to support Concord Fire Department (CFD). The 2016 Pull will continue to raise funds to ensure CFD can provide the fastest in service and response, no matter where an emergency happens, by acquiring a "Gator" truck to help provide assistance and care off the beaten path in places like Concord's hiking trails, at special events, and when fighting brush fires and other dangerous situations that happen off of Concord's main road system. The Fire Truck Pulls have been fun community events, and helped fund acquisition of a 3rd LUCAS hands free CPR device for CFD.
Online registration for the 2016 Fire Truck Pull is available at www.ConcordPublicSafety.org. First responder teams receive free registration, nonprofit/friends teams register for $100/team, and business/gym team registration is $200/team. Sponsor opportunities are also available; contact Kim Murdoch at concordpublicsafety@gmail.com to learn more.
