Teen Killed In Interstate 93 Crash; Arrest Blotters: New Hampshire State Police Roundup

CONCORD, NH — A man from Maine is facing charges after being accused of driving under the influence after a crash in Portsmouth on Monday morning.

Around 2 a.m., state troopers were sent to the area of Exit 3 on Interstate 95 north for a report of a crash. The driver of a 2005 Honda Accord, Michael Tardiff, 40, of Holden, ME, reportedly took Exit 3 and, “for reasons that remain under investigation,” according to Trooper Nicole Stone of the state police, drove off the onramp and crashed into a tree after driving through thick brush.

Tardiff and two passengers were taken to the hospital by ambulance for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries, she said.

Later, Tardiff was arrested on DUI and reckless operation charges. He was released on personal recognizance and is due in Portsmouth District Court on Sept. 11.

Stone said the onramp was closed for around two hours while the car was removed from the crash scene. Troopers were assisted by Portsmouth police and firefighters and National Wrecker Service.

Teen Dies After Crash On Interstate 93

State police are investigating the death of a 17-year-old after a crash in Londonderry on Friday.

Around 2:45 p.m., troopers were sent to the area of Mile Marker 14 for a report of a driving in a 2008 Mercury Milan veering off the highway and striking trees. Londonderry fire and rescue teams arrived at the scene and extricated the driver, Lillianna Cawthron of Londonderry. She was taken to Elliot Hospital where she died later.

The crash is still under investigation.

The Interstate was closed for around four hours. Londonderry police, Londonderry firefighters, and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation assisted troopers.

2 Charged With Wrong-Way DWI Hours Apart

A man from Massachusetts and a woman from Loudon are facing drunken driving charges after being accused of wrong way driving on Interstate 93 within hours of each other.

Around 11:45 p.m. on Aug. 17, state police received reports about a driving in a vehicle driving north in the southbound lane of the highway in Salem. Around Exit 2, near the offramp, troopers located the vehicle and stopped it. Julio Florentino, 68, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, was accused of blowing double the legal limit of breath alcohol content and was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and reckless conduct-deadly weapon.

On Aug. 18, around 2:30 a.m., troopers received another report of driver traveling north in the southbound land of I-93 near Exit 5 in Londonderry. The driver of the vehicle reportedly crashed near Mile Marker 16 after almost colliding with another vehicle, Tyler Dumont, the public information officer for the department.

The driver, Alexis Rodriguez, 26, of Loudon, was accused of being impaired and arrested on driving while intoxicated and reckless conduct-deadly weapon charges.

Dumont said Florentino and Rodriguez have September court dates.

Kyle Andrew Snow, 37, of Stratham was arrested at 11:14 p.m. on Aug. 10 on driving after revocation or suspension and disobeying an officer charges. He was arrested after an incident in Epping.

Joseph Rene Heil, 46, of Dracut, MA, was arrested on a DUI charge in Hampton at 10:37 p.m. on Aug. 10.

Quinci L. Morin-Farias, 30, of Somersworth was arrested at 4:40 p.m. on Aug. 10 on a driving after revocation or suspension charge as well as suspension of vehicle registration, uninspected vehicle, unregistered vehicle, license required, and change of address-name violation in Rochester.

Alexander Gonzalez, 40, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, was arrested on a warrant at 10:18 a.m. on Aug. 10 in Portsmouth.

James D. Perry, 35, of Saugus, MA, was arrested at 10:40 p.m. on Aug. 7 on a driving after revocation or suspension charge in Hampton.

Anthony Joseph Capen, 36, of Dover was arrested on a warrant at 5:21 p.m. on Aug. 7 in Portsmouth.

Melissa A. Chesley, 43, of Nashua was arrested at 7:52 p.m. on Aug. 10 on driving after revocation or suspension and speeding-26-plus mph over the limit of 55 or less in Nashua.

A 16-year-old from Portland, ME, was arrested at 6:11 a.m. on Aug. 10 on a reckless operation charge and an unsafe lane change violation in Bow.

Maria Barrientos, 32, of Nashua was arrested at 11:23 p.m. on Aug. 9 on a DUI charge and yellow-solid line violation in Bedford.

Peter Levesque, 55, of Peterborough was arrested at 10:15 a.m. on Aug. 9 on a violation of a protective order charge. At 11:13 a.m., he was arrested again on a warrant. Both charges occurred in Peterborough.

Ronald Walter Morneau, 52, of Bedford was arrested at 1:03 a.m. on Aug. 9 on DUI, DUI-adult more than 0.08; minor more than 0.02, and speeding charges in Bedford.

Prentice, 27, of Concord was arrested at 4:01 a.m. on Aug. 7 on driving after revocation or suspension, disobeying an officer, negligent driving, transport drugs in a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property-less than $1,000, and controlled drug: controlled premises where drugs kept charges as well as a misuse of plate violation. Also charged was Kimberly M. Bousquet, 37, of Concord on resisting arrest, loitering or prowling, falsifying physical evidence, and two possession of controlled drug charges. They were arrested in Derry.

Jayden Ray Jalbert, 20, of Nashua was arrested at 11:43 a.m. on Aug. 6 on speeding-26-mph over the limit of 55 or less and possession of more than a quarter of an ounce of marijuana or 5 grams of hashish charges as well as failure to display plates, possession-use of tobacco products by a minor, and unsafe lane change violations. Also charged was a 16-year-old from Nashua for possession-use of tobacco products by a minor and possession of marijuana-infused product; under 21 violations. They were charged in Derry.

Roger David Akoury, 60, of Bedford was arrested at 7:47 p.m. on Aug. 5 on speeding-1 to 10 mph over the limit of 55 mph or less, disorderly conduct, transport drugs in a motor vehicle, and two possession of controlled drug charges as well as uninspected vehicle and following too closely violations in Bedford.

Saul Lemuel Tirado Valle, 35, of Lawrence, MA, was arrested at 3:41 p.m. on Aug. 5 on a driving after revocation or suspension in Windham.

Nayjah Exsiana Suazo, 22, of Manchester was arrested on a bench warrant at 11:02 a.m. on Aug. 5 as well as an operating without a valid license charge in Manchester.

Sandra Grace Sellers, 29, of South Hadley, MA, was arrested at 4:36 a.m. on a DUI charge in Concord.

Egan Vitlias Ojunga, 28, of Lowell, MA, was arrested at 2:38 a.m. on Aug. 11 on aggravated DUI-passenger under 16, reckless operation, DUI, and endangering the welfare of a child charges in Bow. A woman was also taken into protective custody.

Tyler Matthew Flanagan, 29, of Haverhill, MA, was arrested at 1:13 a.m. on Aug. 11 on a DUI charge in Canterbury.

Joseph Cyiza, 35, of Concord was arrested at 12:25 a.m. on Aug. 11 on DUI and DUI-second offense charges as well as an open container violation in Hooksett.

Cameron Scott Hill, 26, of New Ipswich was arrested at 10:46 p.m. on Aug. 10 on DUI, DUI-second offense, and driving after revocation or suspension charges in Bow.

Brenden T. Sackall, 30, of Rockville, RI, was arrested on a fugitive warrant in Lebanon at 9 a.m. on Aug. 5.
