Officers arrived at the scene and heard some people in the backyard and saw a bonfire. As they approached the front of the residence, the officers saw a number of young men in the kitchen playing a drinking game called “Beruit,” according to the report.

“They all appeared to be young in age,” a reporting officer noted.

Officers reported seeing numerous alcoholic beverage containers around the bonfire, inside a barn, and in the home. They also found several bongs and drug paraphernalia.

The partygoers were collected and separated into those who were under 21 and over 21.

The officer spoke to Vignati, who allegedly “appeared distant, and his movements were slow and deliberate.” He reportedly asked to use the bathroom and the officer allowed him to but patted him down for weapons beforehand, according to the report.

“Vignati became agitated and upset by my doing this,” the officer reported, adding that while in the bathroom, he sounded as if he was on the phone and refused to exit the bathroom when requested. The officer continued to knock on the door and eventually, Vignati came out with a pile of clothes. He was told to go back downstairs with the other partygoers and he allegedly refused repeatedly.

The officer grabbed his arm to remove him from the bathroom and Vignati allegedly tensed up and pulled away. The officer took him into custody and arrested him.

A number of the other attendees agreed to portable breath tests, including a 16-year-old.

After Romanowski was released to his mother, police allegedly determined that he was in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, and he was arrested.

The following people were also summoned to court on unlawful possession of alcohol charges: Brandon Barrett, 17, of Concord; Hunter W. Darling, 18, of Loudon; Savannah J. Hartford, 18, of Concord; and Freeman Young, 20, of Boscawen.

Some had court dates in May; others are all due in court in June.
