Thank You

I know many of the terms are over used. Humbled, thankful, appreciative, but I have no other words to thank all those who have supported and voted for me. Those who once again allowed me to place my signs in their yards and those who wrote letters and all those who put their trust in me and took the time to vote, thank you.

First let me say how proud Tim Bauman should be of the campaign he ran against me. Aggressive, issue oriented and ethical. Talking to those who supported me and who Tim had spoken with, what I heard was the great impression he made on them. 

To those who have continued to support me and those who supported me for the first time this year, everyday I will do the best I can to remember that I represent you. I was told by a former City Councilor that the most valuable asset one has as a City Councilor is the trust that is given to you by those who voted for you. Everyday in every action you take you must be aware of that trust, because if you ever lose it you can never earn it back.

I have been very fortunate to have a wife, Cathy Furlong, who has not only stood by me but has encouraged me and believed in me for the almost 35 years we have been together. Without her none of my accomplishments would be as rewarding.

I can only restate what I have said throughout the campaign, I will do my best everyday to remember that it is you I represent. I will do my best to find out what you think and I encourage you to contact me at anytime to talk with me about any concerns you may have.

Our community  has many caring and civic-minded individuals. We live in a great city with many wonderful services, opportunities and activities and together we can make our city even better.
