The First Day of May Brings Sunny Skies to Concord

1. 75? Yup, according to the National Weather Service, temperatures could reach as high as 75, with sunny skies and a light wind. Overnight, expect clouds and temps in the mid-30s.

3. May Day rally. Union organizers and others are calling for a day of action at the Statehouse at noon for immigrant and refugees rights as well as calling on Congress to pass immigration reform.
4. Challenging Corporate Rule and Creating Democracy. Former Green Party presidential candidate David Cobb as well as Daniel Lee will in Concord discuss their work abolishing “corporate personhood” and the effort to amend the Constitution at 6 p.m. at the IBEW Building at 48 Airport Road. The talk is free.
5. Other stuff. The Concord Public Library holds family story time at 10:30 a.m. Dustin's Fitness Solutions offers a free complimentary circuit training class at noon. Primetime Wellness Club hosts a healthy happy hour ladies night at 5:30 p.m. Jon Lorentz plays Hermanos at 6:30 p.m. The Zoning Board of Adjustment meets at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
