The Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce hosted its 25th Annual Funds for Education golf tournament at Beaver Meadow golf course on Aug. 7. The tournament was a sellout and one lucky player drove home in a brand new Chevy Silverado courtesy of Banks Chevrolet.
James Prieto, of Granite Commercial, scored his first hole in one ever on hole #3 winning the truck early in the day. Prieto chalked the hole in one victory up to luck and said he was excited to own his first truck.
“The Funds for Education Golf Tournament is the only fundraiser of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce. Each year the tournament raises money for business education initiatives in the Concord area. To date the tournament has awarded more than $150,000 in grants, including support of the Capital Area Student Leadership program, which has graduated over 450 students,” said Tim Sink, president of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce. "Congratulations Mr. Prieto!"
