The View From Squag City

Those of us in Executive Council District One now face a choice. The primary is over, and Michael Cryans will run for our seat at the Council table, opposed by Joe Kenney, the failed former candidate for Governor.  The choice is very clear.
Mike was born and brought up in Littleton.  He has been a teacher, a banker, an administrator and a public servant with years of experience as a Grafton County Commissioner.  He worked with Ray Burton for seventeen years in Grafton County, doing extraordinary things for the people of the county.  He has the personality and intelligence to be a superb Councilor.

His opponent has an honored career in the military, and has served in the House and Senate.  But he has proved himself, time and again, to be an ideologue and a partisan, more interested in getting what he wants than serving the needs of the people who elected him.  He does not believe that women have a right to control their own reproductive health, and he has shown that eliminating reproductive choice in New Hampshire is a worthy ultimate goal for him.  Understand, he will act in pursuit of that goal if he is elected.  He and his party will try once again to eliminate Planned Parenthood through contract votes on the Council, and he will do what he can to tie up the Governor on important issues.

Commissioner Mike Cryans is a decent, honest, and hardworking man who knows the district, and deserves to win. He is the kind of soul who makes me proud to come from New Hampshire.
