Third ‘Stuff-A-Cruiser’ NH Food Bank Drive Held In Concord Saturday
Concord police are partnering with the NH Food Bank to support Hunger Action Month at Hannaford on Fort Eddy Road.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police and city shoppers have been stuffing cruisers with food and donations during the past two weeks and will host one more event on Saturday.
Concord’s third “stuff-a-cruiser” event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 23 at Hannaford supermarket at 73 Fort Eddy Road. The food and donations will go to the Friends of Forgotten Children.
The effort is part of Hunger Action Month, a nationwide awareness campaign to help residents and businesses take action to fight hunger. The NH Food Bank, a Catholic Charities New Hampshire program, has hosted the events for several years. Funds will assist the estimated 7 percent of all Granite State residents, including about 8.5 percent of children, who struggle with food insecurity — meaning they do not know when or where their next meal will come from, the org said.
