Thousand Without Power After Route 4 Crash

Update: Unitil is reporting that most customers in Allenstown, Concord, Chichester, Epsom, Loudon, and Pembroke now have power.

CHICHESTER, NH — A crash on Route 4 in Chichester knocked out power to nearly 3,000 customers this afternoon in the eastern part of the city of Concord as well as other communities, according to reports online. A crash, right outside of Chucksters, appeared to be the cause of the outage. All of Unitil’s customers in Chichester and Epsom – about 2,500 customers – were without power on July 19, 2017, according to the Unitil power outage report. About 200 customers in Concord were without power along with 13 in Allenstown, 82 in Loudon, and 16 in Pembroke.

Unitil reported on Twitter at around 5:45 p.m. that most of its customers had power restored.
