Power Restored in Concord, Capital Region
Fire at Unitil substation on South Main Street caused the outage.

Update, 6:33 p.m. Power was restored to most of the city. A fire at the substation on South Main Street just off the Concord-Bow line was the reason why power was out.
Update, 5:55 p.m. A number of readers are reporting a fire at the substation on the Concord-Bow line on South Main Street but this is not confirmed. No word yet on restoration from Unitil. More than 10,000 customers in Concord are now without power.
Update, 5:45 p.m. The power outage appears to be widespread at this point even if only half the city (48 percent) is reported out (9,973 customers). Outages reported in the South End, West End, East Concord, and the Heights, so far. A person is reportedly stuck in an elevator at Lincoln Financial.

Update, 5:40 p.m. Outages continue to increase - now at 10,863 around the region, including more than 9,700 in Concord. Unitil is currently assessing the situation.
Update, 5:30 p.m. More than 9,000 customers are without power around Concord. About 50 customers in Loudon are also reporting outages. If you are heading out, be careful: Traffic lights are out throughout the city. PSNH is reporting no outages.

Power across the capital region is out for thousands of people according to Unitil’s outage map.
According to the map, at 5:25 p.m., more than 8,300 customers had lost power for an unknown reason.
In Concord, 7,100 customers or more than a third of the city was without power.
In Bow, about 1,000 customers, about a third, were without power.
Dunbarton was also reporting about 100 customers without power.
Alarms activating all over the city and people are trapped in elevators at the state office complex on Hazen Drive, according to Concord Fire.
