Three-Alarm Fire Reported on Manchester Street
UPDATE: Stratham Tire building exploded, caught on fire this morning; power restored to about 600; roads now reopened.
CONCORD, NH - Concord Fire and Rescue teams were sent to a fire at Stratham Tire on Manchester Street at just before 6:15 a.m. on April 15, 2016, according to alerts online.
A number of witnesses reported hearing booms from the area early this morning and then seeing heavy smoke bellowing from the building. The fire quickly went to three alarms.
Unitil is also reporting about 600 customers around the fire area without power due to the fire. Restoration time is estimated to be around 9 a.m.

Exit 13 on I-93 is also closed to traffic, according to alerts. Manchester Street between Airport Road and Old Turnpike Road is closed to traffic. The Concord Police Department is asking motorists to avoid the area, if at all possible. The road is expected to be closed for several hours, according to Lt. Cori Casey. The road reopened at just before 10 a.m.
