Three Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Route 106
Breaking: NHSP: Highway in Loudon was closed for three hours today during an accident investigation near Cascade Campground.
LOUDON, NH — New Hampshire State Police are reporting that three people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Route 106 in Loudon near the Cascade Campground, according to a press statement. State troopers were called to the scene to assist Loudon Police at just before 1 p.m. on Sept. 16, 2016.
According to the collision team’s preliminary investigation, a 64-year-old woman from Loudon was traveling south on the highway in a Jeep and attempted to turn left onto the access road for the campground when she was struck by a Honda Accord being driven by a 63-year-old man from Belmont. The Accord was also traveling south and the force of the rear impact reportedly forced the Jeep to cross the center line, into the northbound lane. It was then reportedly struck by an oncoming Subaru Outback, that was driving north.
All three drivers were transported to Concord Hospital. The road was closed for about three hours during the investigation, according to Sgt. William Graham of the NHSP, with traffic re-routed to Route 4.
