Thunderstorm Knocks Out Power To More Than 900
Updated: Parts of Concord, Chichester, and Pembroke were without power Saturday. Power was restored to most Unitil customers.

CONCORD, NH — More than 900 Unitil customers are without power Saturday after a morning thunderstorm rolled across the capital city. The storm and rain – which started at just before 7:45 a.m. and is continuing at post time – caused a power outage on the Concord Heights and parts of Pembroke. Most of the outages – 923 – are clustered between the Concord Airport and the Steeplegate Mall, with about 16 homes along the Soucook River in Pembroke also without power.
Unitil is estimating restoration times somewhere between 9 and 11 a.m. for Pembroke and Chichester while also assessing restoration times in Concord.
Eversource, which also provides power to some communities in the capital region, is reporting no outages.
