Thunderstorms Expected To Roll Into New Hampshire

Breaking: NWS, future radar forecasting shows t-storms across the state through 7 p.m. on Thursday with hot and humid temps on the horizon.

GREY, ME — The National Weather Service issued an alert on Thursday warning of afternoon and evening thunderstorms for most of the state of New Hampshire. Isolated thunderstorms, especially in the central and Seacoast regions of the state, are expected through 7 p.m. A tenth of an inch to a quarter and a half inch of rainfall – with higher amounts in some areas – is possible.

The first storms are expected to hit the state at around 2 p.m.

A cold front is also moving into the state and might trigger more storms on Friday.

"Hot and humid weather is expected to build into the Northeast next week," the NWS alert stated. "By the middle to later part of next week heat index values above 95 degrees will be increasingly likely.
