Thunderstorms, Gusty Wind, Hail Heading To NH: NWS
Breaking: Forecasters are warning that stormy weather is on its way to New Hampshire.

GRAY, ME — The National Weather Service has issued a “hazardous weather outlook" for today and Saturday warning of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, possible hail, and gusty winds. The alert was issued on June 30, 2017. The warning covers the central and southern parts of the Granite State through Saturday.
“Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and south of a stalled front this afternoon,” according to the NWS alert. “While all storms will be capable of heavy rainfall, the stronger storms may also produce gusty winds. More thunderstorms will develop on Saturday. These storms will be capable of very heavy rainfall and gusty winds.”

While there is some rain swirling around the state currently, the worst parts of the storms are expected to start in the late afternoon.

Concord and central parts of New Hampshire can expect isolated thunderstorms between noon and 1 p.m. today and then again around 4 p.m. They are expected to last through midnight. Another round of storms is expected around 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Parts of Hillsborough County – Amherst, Bedford, Merrimack, Milford, and Nashua – can expect to have scattered t-storms beginning around 3 p.m. and running through midnight. Another round of storms is expected to hit around 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Inland and coastal Rockingham County – Londonderry, Exeter, Salem, Windham, North Hampton, Hampton, and Portsmouth – can expect the storms to lunchtime storms and then more storms between 4 and 5 p.m. running through 1 to 2 a.m. on Saturday. Storms are expected to reappear around 1 p.m. on Saturday.
