Time to Get Out This Weekend, Concord

Saturday looks like the best weather day, Dems dine, The Rusty Belle performs, plus spring workshops.

Here are 5 Things to know about this weekend in the city:

  1. Some rain this weekend? Maybe. The National Weather Service says that Saturday is going to be a nice day, with sunny skies and highs near 50. Overnight lows will drop down into the 20s. On Sunday though, showers are expected, with highs in the high 50s. The rain may continue through Sunday night, with lows in the mid-30s. The sun returns on Monday.

  3. Welcome Spring! The New Hampshire Gardner Association holds a day-long gardening symposium at the Grappone Conference Center starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $70 and include breakfast and lunch. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, St. Paul’s School hosts an apple grafting and pruning workshop. Learn the tricks of the trade. Tickets are $75.
  4. The Rusty Belle live. The Rusty Belle perform live at the Kimball Jenkins Estate at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $10, and is BYOB and a potluck, so bring something to eat and share too.
  5. Other stuff. On Saturday, the National Federation of the Blind seminar continues at the Holiday Inn. The fun weight loss challenge continues at the Primetime Wellness Club at 9 a.m. A spring crafting group meets at 10 a.m. at the Immanuel Community Church. And in the evening, the Democrats host the annual McIntyre-Shaheen 100 Dinner in Manchester.
