The Town of Bow, NH is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Administrative Assistant in the Community Development Department.The Administrative Assistant performs a variety of administrative and clerical support to the Community Development Department with a primary focus on Building and Assessing. One of the major responsibilities of this position is providing high-quality customer service at the Community Development counter, on the phone, and when responding to emails. Duties include receiving and processing applications for building permits, scheduling inspections, responding to inquiries concerning assessing records, assisting taxpayers with exemption and abatement applications, and organizing and tracking tax map changes. The Administrative Assistant provides support to the Conservation Commission and Drinking Water Protection Committee by preparing meeting materials and taking minutes. The role involves managing and updating the web pages for these boards and commissions, as well as for the Department.
Qualified applicants should possess a high school degree or equivalent, with associate degree preferred, and three years progressive, responsible experience of an administrative nature in public jurisdiction or private organization; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Salary range $22.21 to $27.06 per hour DOQ.
