Tree Lighting Held In Downtown Concord Nov. 24

Here are all the details for Friday's event on North Main Street including fireworks, a food and clothing drive, and a lot more fun.

CONCORD, NH — This year’s Christmas tree lighting event will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, at the Statehouse plaza. Santa arrives at around 5 p.m. Expect music, refreshments, horse drawn carriage rides, a petting zoo and much more.

Also, help out others this holiday season by filling the ambulance with food and clothing.

State Rep. Dick Patten, D-Concord, the long-time coordinator of the event, noted that Kevin Tucker, a volunteer, had secured the ambulance for the drive.

WJYY is also, again, helping to fund the Skip Houle Memorial Fireworks Display, Patten noted, that will be set off at 6 p.m. above the Merrimack River. Other sponsors this year are Concord Imaging Co., The Rowley Agency, Foxfire Management, Concord Business Center, and /Tilton AutoServ with Dennis Gaudett, Eastern Bank, and Merrimack County Savings Bank.
