Truck Driver Crashes On Route 4 In Boscawen; Taken To Concord Hospital
A driver crashed a propane utility truck into trees Tuesday near Goodhue Road; the driver was taken to the Concord Hospital with injuries.
BOSCAWEN, NH — Boscawen and Concord firefighters, Boscawen police, and the Penacook rescue teams were called to a truck crash on Route 4 High Street on Tuesday.
Around 2:15 p.m., a utility truck drove off the road and into some trees near Goodhue Road. The driver, who had a head injury, was stuck inside and unable to exit the truck.
Dispatch told EMTs and firefighters heading to the scene it was a propane service truck and not a tanker and they would need to prepare for extrication.

The fire commander arrived and reported heavy damage to the front end of the truck. Boscawen police also closed off the roadway. The commander said the truck had trees on the vehicle and the driver was seriously injured.
About 10 minutes later, Boscawen firefighters and EMTs were re-requested to the scene, having not arrived yet, according to capital region dispatch.

Firefighters cut trees around the vehicle and were able to remove the driver from the truck.
Concord Ambulance 5 took the driver to Concord Hospital just before 2:45 p.m.
