Trucks Collide On Route 4 In Boscawen: Watch

Police are investigating why two pickup trucks collided on Route 4 and King Street on Saturday; one person was taken to the hospital.

BOSCAWEN, NH — Police in Boscawen are investigating the cause of two trucks colliding on Route 4 on Saturday.

Around 8:30 p.m., county dispatch began receiving calls about a crash in the area of the Route 3-Daniel Webster Highway, Route 4, and King Street intersection. Concord Hospital was alert about a possible trauma status future trauma patient. Capital Area Mutual Aid Fire Compact requested Boscawen firefighters and the Penacook Rescue to the scene around 8:45 p.m. Firefighters arrived just before 9 p.m.

When they arrived, they found two pickup trucks with heavy damage. One truck, with Massachusetts plates, was straddling the double yellow line, while a second truck was towing a trailer. Four patients were evaluated.

Boscawen fire command requested an engine to the scene to assist and a retone was issued. Police and firefighters rerouted traffic around the crash scene.

One patient was taken to Concord Hospital, while the commander requested a Concord ambulance just before 9:15 p.m. Later, three patients signed off on not needing to be transported, and Concord EMTs returned to the city.
