Two-Car Crash Closes Little Pond Road in Concord for Three Hours
NH State Police accident investigate two car collision on sharp right angle turn.
Little Pond Road on Concord’s west side was closed for more than three hours on June 3, due to a two-car accident that sent at least three people to the hospital.
A Mercury Sable sedan heading west on the road reportedly mis-navigated the turn and struck a Volkswagen Passat heading east.
The Volkswagen was reportedly full of children heading home from an afternoon at the Copoco Pool & Tennis Club, according to witnesses. Witnesses reported hearing the sedan swerving on Auburn Street driving west, allegedly at a high rate of speed, just before the accident.

A number of people were transported by Concord Fire and Rescue teams to Concord Hospital, including at least one child, the female driver of the sedan, and the male passenger. The female driver of the sedan reportedly had a broken arm; the male passenger was transported with a neck brace, according to witnesses.
New Hampshire State Police accident investigators were at the scene for more than two and half hours, taken measurements.

This is the second time in less than a year that a major accident has occurred at this curve. An alleged drunk driver drove into the woods about five feet from the scene of this latest accident in January.
