Two Injured After Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 13

A Cadillac rolled multiple times after it was struck by a Honda Civic that reportedly blew a red light.

DUNBARTON, NH — Two people were sent to the hospital this afternoon and Stark Highway South in Dunbarton was shut down for about an hour after a two-vehicle crash. According to police, at just before 1 p.m. on July 30, 2016, police and fire and rescue teams were sent to the area of Route 13 and Gorham Pond Road for an accident report.

According to an investigation and "multiple witness statements," a 2004 Honda Civic being driven by a 21-year-old woman from Ashland allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Gorham Pond Road and Stark Highway South. The Civic ran into a 2011 Cadillac Escalade being driven southbound by a 33-year-old man from Dunbarton, "causing the Escalade to flip over several times," according to Sgt. Chris Remillard of the Dunbarton Police Department.

A passenger in the Escalade was transported to a local hospital with serious, life threatening injuries, and the driver of the Civic was also transported to the hospital. Several witnesses helped provide medical care to the passenger injured in the Escalade when the crash occurred. Goffstown Police and EMTs also assisted at the scene.
