U.S. Marshals: Strafford County Fugitive, Narcotics Felon Surrenders
The task force in New Hampshire was able to make contact with Karvin Antonio Demby about a probation warrant. He surrendered Tuesday night.

CONCORD, NH — This week’s New Hampshire fugitive of the week, a man with a lengthy criminal history, was taken into custody on Tuesday by the U.S. Marshals Service.
Karvin Antonio Demby, 47, was being sought by Strafford County on a probation violation after a narcotics conviction. He had previously lived on the Seacoast. The warrant was issued against him on July 27, and no one had been able to find him. Jeffrey White, a deputy marshal, said Demby was considered “armed and dangerous” based on prior charges, including second-degree assault, assault, and felon in possession of a dangerous weapon.
However, task force members were able to make contact with him and arrange his surrender, White said.

At that time, he was accused of felony theft in Nottingham and receiving stolen property in Portsmouth. He pleaded guilty to both charges in October 2008. In November 2007, he was accused of bail jumping in Brentwood. He pleaded guilty to the charge simultaneously as the other charges.
In March 2010, he was accused of a probation violation. After hearings, he was ordered on a payment plan in July 2011. In November 2019, a notice to Demby was returned to the court. In February 2020, a warrant was issued for his arrest for failure to appear on a violation of a court order hearing. Another warrant was issued in April 2020.
At the same time, Demby racked up more charges: He was accused of second-degree assault in Rochester in October 2010, but that charge was dropped five months later. Demby was also accused of five simple assault charges and a criminal mischief count, all felonies. He pleaded guilty to the charges in February 2011. In September 2011, he was accused of acts prohibited, falsifying physical evidence, and resisting arrest or detention in Portsmouth and pleaded guilty to those charges in March 2013.
In 2020 and 2021, Demby faced even more charges, including fentanyl dealing, drug possession, felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, contempt, falsifying evidence, cocaine dealing, controlled premises, driving after revocation or suspension, disobeying an officer, aggravated driving under the influence, and violation of probation or parole charges, all out of Rochester. Felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, drug possession, criminal threatening, and simple assault charges were also lodged against him in Dover.
In May 2019, he was accused of drug possession and controlled premises in Greenland. He pleaded guilty to the premises charge in March 2021.
