Utility Pole Fire Causes Nearly 2,000 To Lose Power In Concord
Electricity was knocked out for two-plus-hours in Concord on Saturday.
CONCORD, NH — A utility pole fire caused a two-hour-plus power outage in Concord on Saturday.
Fire and rescue teams were sent to the intersection of North Main and Court streets for a report of a fire on a utility pole with live wires down around 1:15 p.m. Unitil reported more than 1,980 were without power in the city.
Initially, on X, formerly known as Twitter, the company reported the incident as a motor vehicle accident. But later, Unitil said the outages was due to an equipment issue.

Most customers were restored by around 3:30 p.m., while all but a handful of households were restored by 5:30 p.m.
