Vehicle Break-ins at Movie Theater Lead to Charges

Concord Police arrest Steven Ridgeway on felony drug, vandalism, burglary tools, and other charges.

CONCORD, NH - A local man was arrested after a lengthy investigation in to car thefts at the Regal Cinemas on Loudon Road last September.

Steven D. Ridgeway, 41, of Clinton Street in Concord, was arrested at 9:35 a.m. on Nov. 18, 2015, and charged with criminal mischief, two counts of theft; from a vehicle (one a felony), three counts of receiving stolen property, two counts of criminal liability for the conduct of another (one a felony), possession of burglary tools, fraudulent use of a credit card, and five counts of possession of controlled drugs (four of them felonies).

On Sept. 5, and Sept. 20, 2015, police were sent to the Regal Cinemas to investigate theft from vehicle reports.

In the latter case, witnesses reported seeing a man allegedly breaking into a vehicle and later, getting into a Ford Edge SUV.

Police officers were later able to find the Ford and stopped it. The vehicle was impounded and towed from the scene while a search warrant could be issued to search its contents. Later, according to police, drugs, burglary tools, and other items were allegedly found in the vehicle, including methamphetamine.

A warrant was issued for Ridgeway’s arrest on Nov. 13, 2015, and he turned himself in to police in November the following week.

Ridgeway had an active warrant issued by Manchester Police so he was transported there for processing. He was arraigned on Dec. 21.
