VIDEO: It's Happy Holidays at the Ron Paul HQ
Volunteers celebrate with cookies, jazz, and phonebanking.
Volunteers and campaign staffers for GOP presidential candidate U.S. Rep. , R-Texas, spread a bit of holiday cheer on Dec. 9, hosting a Christmas cookie party at the state headquarters in Concord. Attendees enjoyed jazz and had cookies while kids watched holiday cartoons and enjoyed balloon hats.
Staffers and volunteers say they have reason to celebrate. Their candidate has entered into the top tier, placing in either in multiple polls out of both Iowa and New Hampshire and the campaign clearly feels a slow surge building.
“You can feel momentum,” said Media and Field Director Brian Early. “It’s happening ... and it’s sustaining, too.”

Campaign volunteer Kristin Griffin, who helped set up the cookie party and had a festive time with her family, said the effort in New Hampshire is on the move up.
“The campaign just keeps growing,” she said. “Every time I turn around, there are new people coming into the office, people on the street telling me they are going to vote for Ron Paul … it’s really taking off.”

The campaign also has a new cookbook out featuring recipes from the candidate’s wife Carol and supporters, including state Sen. , R-Henniker, of in Concord, who offered a clam chowder recipe. Every year, Paul gives away the cookbook to people in his district during the holidays. This time, it's being handed out to the voters of New Hampshire.
The cookbook also offers a short biography by Carol and some Bible verses, including John 13:34-35: “A new commandment I give unto you: That you love one another, as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love for another.”
