At the Jan. 28, Suite Success in Networking Group business meeting, Nazzy from WJYY presented a 10 minutes spotlight talking about his business, Nazzy Entertainment.
However, the morning-show DJ had a little surprise – chocolate, fake roses, and a bit of dancing – with the roses being waved around by SSING members.
“Yes, I leave people breathless,” he said, while others laughed.

For about 20 years, Nazzy has been DJing weddings, parties, and corporate events, and cornered the market, in a sense, with his company that has become a family affair, with his son also working the circuit. Nazzy called it “facilitating” the event and making sure, in the case of a wedding, the bride and groom are not distracted by anything but their own time together.
“To me,” he said, “it’s never been about working the weekend, it’s been about being a part of people’s celebrations.”

As ringmaster of such events, Nazzy works with couples to provide a complete experience, organizing the entire party for people to make sure it’s perfect and “being in the business making memories … I love making people happy.”
WJYY, which is now owned by Binnie Media, will soon be moving its studios to the old Walker Elementary School in the North End. The second floor auditorium will be turned into a state-of-the-art television studio, just in time for the 2014 and 2016 election cycles, he said. Nazzy noted that 2013 would be an exciting time for the media company.
